The war on drugs destroys the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S. every year.
The war on drugs needs to stop, but how do we get started? What do you think are necessary components in exit strategy for the war on drugs?

Whoa, TMI!
No, drugs destroy millions of lives, shoot the people that do the fuckin drugs in the first place dipshit (along with the dealers and the people who smuggle them)
Are you advocating that we murder everyone who consumes caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, or prescription drugs?
are those the ones usually targeted by the war on drugs?
You said that "drugs destroy millions of lives". Isn't it true that alcohol, tobacco, and prescription drugs also contribute to this? Wouldn't your logic mean that we'd basically need to kill most everyone on the planet?
no, my response was to this ridiculous topic, crack, marijuana, cocaine, Heroin, LSD, Acid (and IMO tobacco) shouldn't be allowed to be accessed simply because they turn people into addicted idiots, willing to do anything to get them
sweet, I have my own following of people marking my comments down, up yours assholes :P
1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMpUuspjc7Y
2) Given that a very small percentage of drug users will "do anything" for their drug of choice, wouldn't it make more sense to enforce the existing laws that prohibit robbery / murder / etc.?
3) What right do you have to tell someone what they can or cannot put in their own bodies if it doesn't affect anyone else?
I'm not interested in your hippie garbage shit, I watched the video and disagree, and as for the low crime statistics, I have seen people MURDER to get this fuckin shit, don't give me that.
"I'm not interested in your hippie garbage shit"
Quite the logician you are, I see....
"as for the low crime statistics, I have seen people MURDER to get this fuckin shit, don't give me that."
That is true, though people also murder for money, very arguably even more frequently - Does that mean that we should outlaw capitalism?
"I've seen people murder for money, should we outlaw capitalism"
Non sequitor much??
Drugs alter the mind, I have yet to see capitalism do that...
Drugs also create a depedancy and eventually kill people. Shooting them will just speed up process
Wow, so drugs kill their users? Then why do we have so many living pot-heads, ravers, and ex-drug addicts? So we need to outlaw things that can eventually kill people. We should shoot people who breathe air, it will only speed up the process.
or Liberals who seem to fill our atmosphere with nothing but hot-air...

"Non sequitor much?"
A non sequitor is an argument where its conclusion does not follow from its premises. As it is a fact that people can and frequently DO kill for money, my statement isn't a logical fallacy of ANY sort.
"Drugs alter the mind, I have yet to see capitalism do that..."
If you're trying to tell me that money doesn't create a definite and oftentimes negative behavioral response in people, you're absolutely out of your mind.
"Drugs also create a depedancy and eventually kill people."
When was the last time you heard of someone dying of a marijuana overdose?
"Shooting them will just speed up process"
Let's kill cancer patients too!
/non-sequitor
"let's kill cancer patients too"
Now we're on the same page
