I think he passed away a few years ago. He used to stand around Higgins & Broadway, yelling with a bible in his hand. I heard he was actually nice to talk to.

Her headstone is the only one in the city cemetery that faces north (not east). By request she wished to face the railroad tracks so she could see "her boys" get off the train.

N.A. Jaffery is Missoula's most famous street vendor and perhaps the most photographed person in town. "Just have a look," Jaffery urges to all who pass his table of wares in front of the Dark Room camera shop on the corner of Broadway and Higgins where he has done business for three years. Jaffrey left his home in Pakistan 20 years ago and has traveled the globe selling ethnic tribal Afghan jewelry featuring the lapis stone, especially popular among Missoula's community of belly dancers. His travels have led him to extended stays in Tokyo, Amsterdam, Bankok, and, yes, little ol' Missoula, though lately he has been hearing the call to return home to Pakistan to be with his aging mother.
