From Wikipedia: "An agnostic theist is one who disavows knowledge of God's existence but chooses to believe in God in spite of this." In other words, you believe there is (or must be) a God or something like a God, but you don't know who or what it is. [show less]

Was someone hurting for grupie points today? Or just bored?
What ? is it bad
?
What I love is that the answers are (more or less) mutually exclusive, yet 51 voters have voted 83 times in this poll. Something's wrong wit hthat.
Except that:
A person can build their own unique belief system and a lot of the ones listed here do not require you to belong to any formal group (like Buddhism). So a person can be heavily influenced by a specific religion, but not be an official part of the religion for whatever reason. But if a person's private system has been so heavily influenced by a formal system then they might still identify with it, or come back to it once in a while.
Pastafarian and church of the subgenius?, what type of responses are
The answers aren't *necessarily* mutually exclusive. For instance, Objectivism is an atheistic philosophy, so I've voted for two. Hedonism and "I believe in me" go together well also.
What sort of answer is Christianity? Some hippie, who was really God, got executed, then came back from the dead, because of his unending love for everyone. Except for your neighbor who is gay; You should kill him and his gay-loving dog.
We know that certain new beliefs, like the the Church of the SubGenius and the Flying Spaghetti Monster, are silly. They're meant to be (mainly to point out the silliness of mainstream religions).
However, some of their underlying beliefs can be good tenets to follow.
Example: Some people have Ten Commandments. The pastafarians have Eight "I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts".
Number 1: I'd Really Rather You Didn't Act Like A Sanctimonious, Holier-Than-Thou Ass When Describing My Noodly Goodness. If Some People Don't Believe In Me, That's Okay. Really, I'm Not That Vain. Besides, This Isn't About Them So Stop Changing The Subject."
How does one go about converting to Pastafaria?
