Why is Grupthink recommending I answer this question? I've never even been to Montana!

Maybe Grupthink Recommender knows something I don't.

Maybe a bit of an explanation is in order...
I posted this question on July 20th, 2006. it was probably one of my first 4 or 5 posts. Most of the Grupies that I was getting to know seemed to be in Montana with a scattering of friends in places like Calgary and Florida.

I myself am a Northern California transplant to this fair state. I've come close once or twice to getting the "big bucks" (which really wasn't so much), but living in these areas... stress, crime, crowding, lack of outdoor opportunities, miserable S.O.B.'s to work with... Well, my (now ex-) wife and I decided that our Quality of life was much more important than that big S.U.V. in the driveway of the new house that we never saw because we were both too busy working trying to pay for it all.

So that's my story. The other side of the story is the exponential growth of grupthink. From my POV, it looks like we are now a much more widespread grup than when I posted this question. Also, I've met more and more grupies (Give a holla!) from many different places since then, and I think that it's great.

One way that you can sound off about where you're from is to join the frappr Grupies map (http://www.frappr.com/grupies). As of today, we have a couple thousand registered grupies and only 38 on the frappr map! Look at this! 11 of these entries are in Montana. that's almost one third! Is it any wonder I thought that the grupthink world revolved around Montana?

In conclusion,
1). Forgive me. There is another world outside Montana's borders.Sometimes, I forget that.
2). Sound off! Get on the Frappr map! IT's fun, it's easy...
