What's Missoula BarCamp about? It asks the question, how can we do tech and art that matters? That makes a difference.

Missoula is full of people who care, care enough that our small city has the highest per capita non-profits in the world. And we have some really fantastic technology people here, and a strong representation in the arts (a documentary festival, many writers, Missoula Arts Museum, Missoula Children's Theater). Let's keep the conversation going.

BarCamp (http://barcamp.org) was a response to FooCamp, (Friends Of O'Reilly), an exclusive event where 250 or so of the top writers/programmers/hackers/thinkers friends of the famed computer publisher. Both BarCamp and FooCamp are unconferences, meaning that the agenda is created dynamically during the conference by the attendees. O'Reilly has called it the "wiki of conferences."

Last year's Missoula BarCamp was April 18, 2009. This year's LinuxFest NorthWest is April 24-25, so that weekend is not an option, but the rest of April and perhaps early May is feasible. What would work for you?
