How can we improve Grupthink?

The large database of questions and answers, if grouped interestingly and evaluated on specific scales could make for some interesting visualizations. As an example, each question could be plotted in 3d space. Seperating each axis +-x, y, x we have six different paths a question could take. Considering combinations of three different axes that are adjacent, we have eight different quadrants a question may lie in. The color, size, symbol, or orientation of the question could give further information. It would be aesthetically pleasing as well as providing some interesting information about the nature of questions on grupthink if done well. These questions have no meaning or relevance once the event (or relevant date) has passed. How about allowing an option to be set that expires the poll after the relevant date is past (say, one week, or one month later). After expiry, the poll gets hidden from view, or deleted. Considering how much Fox paid for MySpace, it seems very possible that this site could be sold a few years down the line. I would never want this very personal data to belong to a corporation. Regarding commenting on answers:
It would be nice if the comments on each answer were hidden by default, but you could expand and collapse them for just the ones you would like to see. This would maintain the current layout, but still give everyone the ability to comment on particular answers rather than the whole question itself.

The one thing that this service really lacks is a sense of community outside of the Q&A core part of the site. I suggested user forums, but perhaps there is a better way to build community. Community builds more reason to revisit, and although I enjoy seeing new questions and answers, I'm not sure that this in itself is enough on its own to keep me coming back.

As features are implemented, it may be a good idea to "unvote" that answer so that the next generation of improvements can rise to the top...
