Might be cool to see this on Grupthink.
It might also be cool so see the current status of how many people are on the site. I have seen this on forums. Stats such as:
People on Grupthink: 1000000
Members on Grupthink: 100000
etc. [show less]

I've always been amazed at how much information humans are able to garner from one glance at a well-done visualization. The large database of questions and answers, if grouped interestingly and evaluated on specific scales could make for some interesting visualizations.
As an example, each question could be plotted in 3d space. Seperating each axis +-x, y, x we have six different paths a question could take. Considering combinations of three different axes that are adjacent, we have eight different quadrants a question may lie in. The color, size, symbol, or orientation of the question could give further information.
It would be aesthetically pleasing as well as providing some interesting information about the nature of questions on grupthink if done well. The same process could be done for answers of particularly popular questions. [show less]

How about notification of new questions based on a list of tags? So if you had a tag say 'cars' whenever someone adds a new question with the tag 'cars' you get notified. Or maybe you just get a daily summary. [show less]

There are way too many new grupies with 10 points (for signing up) that are creating topics that A) don't make sense B) don't have pictures or C) are dupes. Setting a minimum point level before posting a topic (and possibly a new answer) should discourage a lot of the nonsense that is becoming a bigger problem each day on Grupthink. [show less]

This would be especially useful when creating a poll with numerical answers like, "1 year, 2 years, 3-5 years," etc.

Some people are just bent on ruining Grupthink I think. Please allow us to block content from these people, like the Killfiles in Usenet.

I really love the concept of grupthink, but the privacy policy concerns me. This is a lot of personal data that we're compiling and the privacy policy states that "We may transfer any or all of your personal information should ownership of the Service change." Considering how much Fox paid for MySpace, it seems very possible that this site could be sold a few years down the line. I would never want this very personal data to belong to a corporation. I'm sorry, I really want to love this site but the users should own their own data. [show less]

I've accidentally given a good answer bad quality points, also I have changed my mind about a topic or an answer. I'd like to have this power.

I think it would be cool to see more tag coulds.
There could ba a tag cloud for the members, Top Questions, Newwest Questions. Questions I've Answered etc.
Basically I think any where there is a listing of questions there should be tag cloud view (in MVC terms).
It may be cool to implement other tag cloud views also.
For instace sorting order could be usefull way to change the tag cloud view.
Or a font color change to represent some data. Such as how recent the question has been modifed, created or other. For example a shift from blue to red could represent how recent the question has been answered, created or looked at. [show less]

to prevent top-heavy voting bias, and the laziness factor (not checking beyond the first page). The average, hasty user tends to vote in the order of appearance, thus further reinforcing the relative ranking of items. Alternatively reverse order from least to most popular. For added effectiveness, hide the result of the poll on first view giving a chance for an unbiased vote. [show less]

With all the new improvements to Grupthink, don't forget to visit this topic and unvote for improvements that have been implimented and Create new answers for things you would like to see happen -- :-)
IMHO it would be intresting to implement grupie dynamic ala grupthink started at .... topics... answers... comments... etc
I'm new here and I think that more paticipation would improve this site. I love the concept but after being a member for a couple of days I am a little dissapointed because I've seen most of the topics and answered and/or voted for those subjects that I found interesing and when I go to the site now the first topics on the front page have hardy any answers or new questions, most of them say; "- 13 hours ago" - "15 hours ago" - &q
