And I thought I was the only one. Honestly.
All good, I know a lot of people here who suffer from the same affliction.
OMG I'm not the only one! I'll be shopping or waiting in line somewhere and then suddenly....
ba da badibada ba da da da....
*hugs*
We should start a support group.
Does anyone actually know the name of the tune? You know how they say if you listen to the song stuck in your head it goes away? I want to try that with this one, however I can never find it!!!
It's called "The Entertainer." If you would like to torture yourself, look it up on Wikipedia and you can listen to a midi file. Of course now I have it stuck in /my/ head.
I mainly posted this answer to torment the world, mah ha ha ha.
I'm almost 100% sure this song is called "Be A Clown"
Really?
actually. I was wrong. Although the circus song can be heard in the first few bars of "be a clown". It's part of it, that's why I got messed up.
Here's one version of the song being sung for my daughter when she was a baby--it would send even her into fits:

You're possibly thinking of Julius Fucik's "Entry Of The Gladiators," alternately known as "Thunder And Blazes." A free sample can be found at this site:

Let me know if I've hit the nail on the head.
