This is the type of property manager you should run from! They have high powered attorneys and they know how to use them. Just run the other way and don't look back!

Their office staff are also absolutely rude.. I've always gotten the feeling when walking in there that no one who works for them really enjoys their job.

I have often heard them reffered to as "Scambros", not something I want to hear when looking for a nice place to live.

Lambros are my current property managers. They've changed the rental company name to something ridiculous that's not affiliated with Lambros, even though they're still out of the same building over on Great Northern (or whichever street it is). They are HORRIBLE. At first they fixed everything I put in a work order for but now I've had an outlet (the only one in my bathroom) that hasn't worked for two months now. They yelled at my upstairs neighbor to water the lawn but wouldn't send anyone out to actually turn the outside spigots back ON so we could get any water! They've lied about applicants, lied about rules of the house, refuse or ignore our requests to fix things around the house, and drive by regularly to check to make sure that nobody is smoking OUTSIDE. It's a non-smoking apartment, why can't someone smoke OUTSIDE?! They also keep calling me around 9am, after I've told them not to call until after noon since I am a night owl and like my sleep. STAY AWAY. They will gouge your rent, lie about your rental agreement, and change things at will. We even had the person that owns the actual property tell us they were having issues with Lambros! Scambros is more than appropriate.

When I moved out of my apartment, Lambros had no record of my move-in conditions report and told me I was the first tenant who had lived there. I was the third. They claimed that I was responsible for all the preexisting damages, including a dead lawn. (I was not responsible for lawn care.) I also waited three days for maintenance to come and fix my hot water.

Just an FYI: Lambros now rents under the name Real Estate Management Group with Lambros written real small under the new logo.

Perhaps they decided to change the name because so many of the people they've screwed over on rental properties have spread the word.

I noticed this too! I'm still a tenant under them (argh) and I asked and NOBODY could give me a good reason why they changed the name. I heard that Lambros (the real estate side of things) didn't want to be associated with the rental part. I WONDER WHY?!

Also my landlord (Joanne Morris for those concerned) has taken to lying about things again recently. She claimed they couldn't come out and repair my busted outlet in my bathroom (the only one in there) because the owner of the property was responsible for making appointments with anyone to get things fixed. A day later I catch their regular repairman (nice guy, hates them too, go figure) fixing things with the upstairs unit. So I ask him about it, and he says that HE is the one that fixes everything, homeowners just get billed for it later. So he came downstairs and fixed my outlet in a matter of seconds... I've called the homeowner and she and I have been discussing Lambros' "less than honest" dealings. I'll keep everyone updated since I should be done with my lease in early August and plan to get lied to/screwed out of my deposit.

It's official. Lambros gave me back roughly $60 out of my $750 deposit. Anyone know a good lawyer, or some people who'd want to start a civil suit? I'm PISSED OFF but I know I can't fight them on my own...! ARGH.

If you're a student, the legal resource center can help; I know someone who works there and they say they spend more of their time chasing after Lambros on behalf of students than just about anything else they do....

Leave a review on their Google Maps listing. This is an effective way to share your grief with this company: http://bit.ly/Lambros
