Most people don't need to wash their hair regularly - once every 6 weeks would be plenty. If you stop washing your hair, the natural oils in it will first make it greasy (for about three days), then it will settle down, and just look natural/normal.

But it sure sells a lot of shampoo!

I have only washed my hair 4 times in the last year! And two of those washes were because of getting sand or dirt in my hair...

Not everyone. I wash mine every other day, and so does everyone in my family, except my oldest daughter because her hair is so fine, she washes her's every day.

notscarlet- when i wash my hair everyday it becomes an ugly, vague poofball.

I think it's important to note the different hair types. Some people can get away with it and remain fairly hygienic I think, but then there's others who we're all better off if they wash their hair.
