This is all or nothing thinking. It is true to say that some people who sell on line are crooks. There are many people who sell on line who are not crooks. Just one example - think of the many people who sell their perfectly good but unwanted household items on ebay for very little. That is not theft - no-one forces the purchaser to buy.
Any scheme that promises quick riches and looks too good to be true is a scam. I am not talking about the sale of private items on Ebay.
